Hey Guys!
So we decided to film an exciting event known as the Week of Giving. One event held with this is called "Coin Wars." Coin Wars is held in Eagle Commons where students are able to donate money to give back to the student emergency fund. The student emergency fund helps any student who has a family emergency and need money to help get home or if a student has low income. Each student class competes with one another and whichever class ends up with the highest positive total gets to throw a pie in President Karen Whitney's face!
Another event, held in Gemmell, is called "Thanks a Donor." Any student can walk in and sign a big white sheet with your name and also a thank you card that thanks donors who participated in this amazing cause. If you sign the thank you card, you have the option to take home a free piggy bank!
This is a great event that encourages students helping students. If you didn't get to participate this year, we highly encourage you to do it next year. This is a great cause!
We hope you enjoy:)!

Laser Tag!
Hey guys!
Welcome to laser tag! This event was held on March 3rd, in the MPR of the Gemmell Student Complex. This event lasted from 6 p.m until 10 p.m.
Clarion students wait in line to be submitted into the MPR in the selection of 8 students at a time. During each game of laser tag, the students are split into two teams or can face each other individually and receive only one winner from the battle. Each battle lasts until each player runs out of his/her life span; if a player gets hit 12 times, that player is dead and out of the battle. Each student can go back in line as many times as they wish to, until the event it closes at 10 p.m.
This event was very exciting and enjoyable to watch and participate in. We met so many fun people and we definitely recommend those who missed out this year to definitely go next year.
We hope you enjoyed!

Late Night Breakfast!
Hey Guys!
Since it's finals week, we decided to go to the Late Night Breakfast to kick off the end of the fall semester! The Late Night Breakfast is a Clarion tradition served by the faculty and staff. It is held the Sunday before finals week at 10 pm where students can come eat some good food and come together and have fun before studying for finals.
Students were able to wear their ugly sweaters, receive a free T-shirt, and could of had the chance to win prizes such as a TV, iPad, and a printer.
We want to encourage all students next time to the late night breakfast in the spring if they weren't able to come to this one.
We hope you enjoy the video and all students do great on their finals!

The Movie Theater!
Hey guys!
Since Kaela was sick, I decided that I wanted to show you all Clarion University's movie theater located on Suites on Main North. The movie theater opened when Suites on Main North open, which was in August, 2015. The theater includes a concession stand and a full 188 seat movie theater. Movies play from Thursday through Sunday and you can find the movie times on the Clarion University website.
The theater is free for students and you need to bring your student I.D. with you. It is also opened to the public. Over 60 movies are played during the fall and spring semesters. The movies are recently released and you can watch a movie that you recently missed at your local movie theater.
I hope you enjoy the video and hope you stop by the theater!

Donate A Meal
Hey Everyone!
In this blog, we wanted to talk to you about a very important event called Donate A Meal.
Around this time of year, our thoughts turn to the upcoming holiday season and students were inspired to give back. Clarion students had the opportunity to join the Eagle Ambassadors and Chartwells Dining Services in their Donate a Meal campaign by providing meals to needy individuals/families in and around Clarion.

Clarion students had the opportunity to join the Eagle Ambassadors and Chartwells Dining Services in their Donate a Meal campaign by providing meals to needy individuals/families in and around Clarion.
The students were encouraged to donate their November 18 board meal dinner to support this project. The sign ups were held at the Eagle Commons Dining Hall on October 24th, 25th, 31st, and November 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.
All the donations will be used to purchase turkeys that will be distributed by Clarion County Community Action to those in need.
Although this event has passed, we wanted to share this information to convince students who didn't participate to go out and donate their meal next year. This is a very special event helps our Clarion Community enjoy their holiday season because those in need deserve it the most.
Thank you for watching!

Clarion University VS. Slippery Rock Football Game
Hey everyone!
Welcome to Clarion University's football game! This past weekend, Clarion competed against their biggest rival: Slippery Rock University. The game was taken place at our home field at 12 p.m. on October 29th, 2016.
During the game, we captured moments of the fans, cheerleaders, dancers, band members, and of course our football players.
To recap how the game went, it was a close throughout the entire game. Slippery rock would take the lead in each quarter, then Clarion would fight back and tie or take the lead. During the 4th quarter, with slippery rock up by 2, Clarion had their chance to score with just minutes left on the clock. Kevin Genevro finished the game with the go-ahead touchdown with only 1:05 left, and the Clarion defense stood tall to take the win with a score of 27-23. With this victory, the Golden Eagles claimed the Milk Jug trophy in the sixth edition of the rivalry game with Slippery Rock.
We hope you enjoy! :)

Big Pink Event!
Hey guys!
So this week we decided to go to a kick off event for Relay for Life called the Big Pink Event. This was held on October 19th, 2016 in the Gemmell Rotunda from 5-7 pm. This event aims to raise awareness for Breast Cancer early detection/screening. You get to meet the committee, learn more about what Relay for Life is, and find out how to join in the fight against cancer. Event participants can register for the spring 2016 Relay event this night only for a discounted cost of $5.
Students were able to come play fun games & hangout! For example, we were able to play a game called Fact or Myth; this game is a Q/A about cancer and if you get the question right, you win a prize! We also talked to some of the students who helped out with the event, and got to learn more about breast cancer. Since October is breast cancer awareness month, this was a great event to help get involved on campus and learn more about this find a cure.
We hope you all enjoy the video and hopefully try to go to this event next year!
